About Taunton Youth Soccer

The Taunton Youth Soccer started in the early 1980s. On March 15, 1983, Taunton Youth Soccer, Inc. was officially incorporated.

In 1997, TYS began working with Taunton Park and Recreation to gain control over the land at Myricks Street. Design and permitting proceeded through 1997 with construction of the complex started in 1998.

Games were first played at Myricks in 1999 with the complex substantially completed by 2000. We continued to use Martin Middle School as a second location for games. The Complex was officially dedicated at a Ceremony on September 27, 2003.

From 2000 to 2010, TYS included players from both Taunton and Berkley. A number of years later, Berkley formed their own league. In 2018, there were more than 500 children who participated in the TYS fall season.

TYS currently offers year-round playing opportunities for all skill levels and abilities, including:
